Pick Up from Dance/Hockey/Tennis/Speech and Drama:

Parents are asked to pick up their daughters at the front door of the Junior School.

Please note: The J3/J4 Dance class on Wednesdays ends at 3.45pm. The J5/J6 class starts at 4pm and finishes at 4.45pm.

Health and Safety Issue: Please do not let your daughters play and jump on the large rocks by the Junior School. Those rocks will be removed soon. Students should never be left unsupervised by parents anywhere on the campus. When you pick up your daughter(s), they need to remain with you at all times.

Positive Thinking from J6R

It was J6Red’s turn to lead our virtual assembly this week. We have been looking at the power of positive thinking and the girls have come up with 4 little dramas in their pods, based on the last 6 months of their lives. Well done, girls!

Pods in Preschool!

The Preschool Lower girls are divided into two pods: the Ladybirds and the Butterflies. The girls have made beautiful crowns to show which group they are in. They also created ladybirds and butterflies from their photos to hang on the classroom doors. We will be incorporating ladybirds and butterflies into our themes throughout the year.

Preschool Upper Pods: Stars and Rainbows

This week the girls have been learning all about life cycles. We started with the life cycle of the butterfly and the girls learned about “complete metamorphosis.” To grow into an adult, the butterfly must go through 4 stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult. The girls were really interested in this and learning fascinating facts about butterflies. After learning all about the facts and life cycle of the butterflies, the girls then made beautiful butterflies using doilies and coloured them with the most eye catching and cool colours.  The girls are really excited to be moving on to the life cycle of the frog. Well done, girls, for your amazing work this week!

Maths in Action

The girls in J5W took advantage of the lovely weather and explored the topic of Place Value in their maths class outside! They drew life sized notational boards with chalk on the ground and used dice to come up with different four and five digit number combinations that they then represented in a variety of ways on the notational boards. After doing so, they took notes of their work in their maths journal.

Positive Thoughts from J4W

This artwork took place over a couple of days. First, we drew some lines and painted in between them, using lots of different colours. This was very fun to make. We made a word bank of positive adjectives as a whole class. Then every girl wrote words that represented herself on her art.

Talented Artist!
In June, Maryam Khan in J5W took part in the illustration competition for J.K. Rowling's new book “The Ickabog. ” Two of the 34 illustrations she submitted were shortlisted.

Maryam stayed focused throughout lockdown and worked on various projects, so she was really pleased to have been shortlisted.

Well done, Maryam.

KG Lower

The KG Lower girls are settling into "Big School', very well. They are making new friends and showing pleasing kindness and manners to all. Well done and thank you Kg Lower.
We would like to wish everyone the very best in their work, fun and learning together!
