From the Office

Tusla R1 Forms

Requests were sent home  to some parents for completed forms and or /certified birth certs in brown envelopes. It is very important that this information is returned to the school office ASAP. This is a legal requirement.

Lunch Card Accounts (KGLr to J6)

Please check your daughter’s lunch card account. When you get a text message or email  asking you to top up a card, it means that the account has used the €50 overdraft  allowance and that you still owe for outstanding lunches. If you put €50 on it now, it will not clear the account. There is an automatic top up facility on the Debitrak link which I would urge you to opt into as it ensures that the card never goes into arrears.  Any questions - please contact the Head of Catering :

Extra-curricular Classes

All extra-curricular classes will end for the school year on Friday, June 3rd. Prep and After Care will take place on June 7-9th. Junior School term will end at 12.30pm with no After Care.

Preschool Term

Please note: Friday, June 10th - the Preschool will close at 12.30pm with the Junior School. After Care will be open again from Tuesday, June 7th until Tuesday, June 21st.

The Preschool term will end on Wednesday, June 22nd at 12pm. No After Care.

Missing School Coat

Abigail Monaghan (KG Upr) is missing her brand new school coat. Would parents please check the name on your daughter’s coat? It could have been mixed up in After Care. Abigail’s name is clearly marked on the coat.

Lost Property

We have a number of items - red sweatshirts etc. . No names on them!

KG Upper Spread Friendship and Kindness!

The Kg Upper girls really enjoyed presenting their Friendship Project in this week's Friday Assembly! With great enthusiasm, they showed their colourful and individual posters displaying, 'Random Acts of Kindness'. In the classroom, the girls presented excellent teamwork and ideas when working together on their group posters. We all agreed that Friendliness and Kindness are very important qualities to share - with everyone!

Further features of our class assembly included a creative music video called, 'Thankful' by The Juicebox before our lively choice of 'Friday Dance' named - "We are Family" by Sister Sledge! It was great fun to see everyone dancing and singing along!

While we reflected on our busy school year together, these songs made us appreciate and feel 'thankful' and 'grateful' for our happy 'Alex Family'!

Happy Weekend ahead and best wishes from,

Ms Boyd and Kg Upper ;-)

F is for faithful; they’re loyal to the end.

R is for reliable; they’re true and don’t pretend.

I is for the interest in sharing thoughts with you.

E is for enjoyment whatever you might do.

N is for neighbourly; they’re kind in every way.

D is for dependable on every single day.

S is for that special friend you know is always there,

The one who makes you happy and you know will always care.

J2R and J2W

On Thursday, 19th May, J2R and J2W participated in the Big Dig experience in our Junior School playground. It was an archaeological dig on a replica Viking house. The girls had to dig for historic artefacts. We enjoyed working together as a team to discover our hidden past.

J2 Big Dig May 2022

This week was a very busy week in J3W. We learned our counties of Ireland, Cadhla and Alina played 'Chasing Cars' and 'Summer' for us with Mr. Rycraft and we also did a science experiment on the lawn! We had lots of fun.
