Admissions Policy
Alexandra College supports the principles of inclusiveness, equality of access and participation in school, and parental choice. Our Annual Admissions Notice sets out the date from which the school will accept Applications for Enrolment for the relevant year and the deadline for receiving applications for enrolment.
Boarding plays a central part in the life of the College, lending the school the energy and warmth of a community which lives and learns together. Phase 2 of our Campus Development Plan will see a beautiful new residence at the heart of our campus. We are delighted that our new “Res” will mean that we have some new boarding spaces available for 2021 and 2022.

Educational Outings & Trips Policy
We recognise that exposure to a variety of experiences and cultures is part of an holistic education. We encourage students to be curious, to engage in intellectual challenge and to explore the world around them. Tours and outings provide a significant benefit to the educational, intellectual, cultural, and social development of students which cannot be achieved by in-school activities alone. They are an extension and reinforcement of classroom activities.

Homework Policy
We aim to give each student the desire and skills to become an eager, engaged self-directed learner. Home learning is an important element of the process of becoming a self-directed learner and is an integral part of a student’s education.
