Our Admissions Policy
In line with the Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018, our Admissions Policy sets out the criteria for making admission decisions. The timeline for applications to 1st Year in the Senior School is set out each year in our Annual Admissions Notice.
Our Application Process
We look forward to receiving your application for a place in the College. We offer day places from Preschool to 6th Year. We offer 5- and 7- day boarding from age 10.
Step One - Enquire

The main entry points in the Junior School are in Preschool Lower and J2 (2nd Class), but you can apply for a place for your daughter to enter Alexandra College Junior School at any point between the ages of 3 and 11, providing we have a place. Please note that your daughter must turn 3 in the year she starts in Preschool Lower. We are happy to accept applications at any time for a place in our Preschool or Junior School.
1st Year applications are accepted in line with the Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018. This process takes place in the October of the year prior to entry; the timeline for applications to 1st Year in the Senior School is set out each year in our Annual Admissions Notice.

Step Two - Schedule a Visit
We are always delighted to welcome parents and students to visit the College. We invite you to schedule a visit with our admissions team to see our Milltown campus and get a sense of what your Alex experience could be like.
Step Three - Apply
Fill out our application form below; please note that you will need a scanned copy of your daughter's birth certificate and the €175 non-refundable application fee.
Available places will be allocated in accordance with the selection criteria set out in our Admissions Policy. Offers will be made in writing one year before the desired entry date. Any offer made is conditional on receipt of your confirmation of acceptance and payment of a deposit in full before the date set out in your offer letter. Application Fee and Deposit
A non-refundable application fee of €175 is payable on submission of an application for admission. Consideration by the College of an application is subject to payment of this fee.
Alexandra College Dublin is a fee paying school. We charge a deposit to students who are offered a place in order to secure it. Please see our Fee Terms and Conditions for more information.
