The Alumna Spotlight gives us a view into the many different lives and careers of Alex women in Ireland and around the world. Today we are joined by Aoibhne Hogan, a Graphic Designer, Artist, and Illustrator, who shared with us her pivot from in-house graphic design to freelance illustration during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Alice Mansergh, Alex Class of 1998, is Director of Customer Solutions at Google and Board Member for Fáilte Ireland, Ireland’s National Tourism Development Authority.  Passionate about communications, Alice spent 10 years marketing Google’s services in the UK, bringing products like Google Chrome, Gmail and Maps to market.

Alumna Spotlight - Dr. Sarah Pritchard

Dr. Sarah Prichard, Alex Class of 1992, is the UK Managing Director & Partner of BuroHappold Engineering. Sarah is a structural engineer who has been involved in a number of projects including Aviva Stadium and Msheireb Downtown Doha. We spoke to Sarah this week about her work in engineering, collaboration, and leadership

Alumna Spotlight - Lucy Nagle

Lucy Nagle, Alex Class of 1997, is a fashion designer and creative director at Lucy Nagle Cashmere. Initially an interior designer in London, Lucy discovered a love of working with textiles and founded Lucy Nagle Cashmere after moving back to Dublin in 2013. We spoke to Lucy this week about entrepreneurship, fashion, and how to pursue goals without a roadmap.

Chloe McDermott, Alex Class of 2008, is an airline Captain. She has been flying with Ryanair for four years and was promoted to Captain this June. Globally, women make up approximately 5% of airline pilots. Aer Lingus has noted in recent years that only 7% of applicants to its Future Pilot Program are women. AlexPress spoke with Chloe this week about her experiences in aviation.
