Res Round-Up February 2026
News from The Hermione
Welcome Back to Res
We were delighted to welcome the girls back after the midterm break and hope they are feeling refreshed and ready for the weeks ahead. We hope that our 3rd and 6th Year girls, in particular, enjoyed a well-deserved break after the rigours of their mock exams.
Zero Latency
Our recent boarder trip to Zero Latency was an unforgettable experience. We stepped into a virtual world where teamwork and quick thinking were key. From battling zombies to exploring futuristic landscapes, everyone had a fantastic time. It was a brilliant day out, full of laughter, excitement, and something completely different.
Newbridge Silverware Musem
Our tour of Newbridge Silverware was a fascinating and enjoyable experience. Quintessentially Irish, it showcased rich heritage and craftsmanship through its beautiful designs. We explored stunning pieces on display, and some girls even availed of the generous 20% discount we were offered, buying lovely items, including the famous Claddagh ring, making it a truly memorable trip.
Upcoming Res Trips
We have lots of exciting activities planned in Res this term, including upcoming trips to Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall—famous as a filming location for the Netflix series Vikings—as well as visits to Aquazone and mini-golf. A particular highlight will be our trip to Cullen’s Sheep Farm, where the girls will experience a real working farm and enjoy the opportunity to pet the newborn spring lambs.
